September at Little ‘Lato - a month of celebrations across Auckland and Hamilton!
September at Little 'Lato is a celebration in every sense. Founder Hannah Engelsman is marking her birthday month by putting her favourite gelato and dairy-free gelato flavours in the cabinet and giving something away every week of the month. Yes, that’s right, giveaways every week of the month!
Gelato flavours of the month
This month’s limited-edition flavours are some of Hannah’s favourite flavours (and foods), all in scoopable form:
Olive Oil – in collaboration with Fat God Olive Oil, this flavour is a delightful blend of olive oil, vanilla bean, a touch of lemon zest, and a hint of sea salt. Sounds strange, tastes incredible!
Peanut Butter & Nutella – the two greatest jars in any pantry, together at last. A flavour that just won Gold at the NZ Ice Cream Awards!
Tiramisu – an indulgent Italian classic - espresso and mascarpone gelato, topped with coffee-soaked sponge fingers and a dusting of cocoa. Made with Ozone Cold Brew; a crowd-favourite for sure.
Biscoff Cookie Dough (vegan) – caramelised biscuit gelato loaded up with chunks of cookie dough. Need we say more.
Chocolate Fudge Brownie (vegan) – a flavour as decadent as it is beautiful. Chocolate Fudge gelato topped with brownie and freeze-dried raspberries.
Blackberry Gin & Basil Sorbet (vegan) – a flavour inspired by a cocktail, and delicious added into cocktails! A grown-up number.
Avocado Toast – yes, really. Creamy avocado gelato topped with buttery toasted sourdough crumb.
A month of giveaways!
Kicking off the giveaways: Five free scoops, every single day.
From 1 September 2026, five cups a day have the word 'FREE' written on the base. Customers order as usual, and just before they pay, the cup is checked. If it says FREE, it's on the house. Five lucky people, every day, all month long.

Our Ponsonby gelato shop sits mid-strip on Ponsonby Road, a few doors from the Ponsonby Central end. With 36 flavours scooping, choosing a flavour might be the hardest decision to make all day.
Little 'Lato Hamilton — 401 Grey Street, Hamilton East
Our Hamilton store is on Grey Street in Hamilton East, inside the Made complex. Find 32 flavours scooping, half of which are dairy-free and mind-blowingly delicious.
