The world’s first deer milk gelato!
At Little ‘Lato, curiosity has always been at the heart of what we do. It’s what drives us to keep experimenting, keep exploring, and keep asking: what haven’t we tried yet? So when the opportunity came along to work with New Zealand deer milk… we couldn’t not.
In collaboration with Pāmu, we created what’s believed to be a world-first: deer milk gelato.
And yes, it’s as interesting as it sounds.
Deer milk is naturally different to what most of us are used to. It’s richer, with higher fat and protein than traditional cow’s milk, which gives the gelato an incredibly smooth, indulgent texture. The kind that feels a little more velvety, a little more luxurious.
